3 questions to KEY4EVENTS
Stéphane BOEHM
Directeur des Ventes
1/ What’s your favourite landmark in Provence Alpes Côte d’Azur ?
=> The Palais du Pharo in Marseille.
It really is a landmark of the city of Marseille, with a breathtaking view over the Old Port.
The ‘feet in the water’ residence that Napoleon wanted has been transformed into a congress, convention and symposium centre that is very popular with event organisers.
We regularly have the opportunity to speak at this venue steeped in history, and we never fail to take a photo of the old port from the catering area… ‘A place to be!
2/ Tell us about your 2024 success story ?
WorldSkills, the World Skills Championship held at Lyon-Eurexpo from 11 to 15 September, was a truly international competition showcasing traditional trades ranging from carpentry and sewing to cybersecurity, mechanics and catering.
As well as keeping the Olympic dream alive with an opening ceremony, competitions and a medal ceremony during the closing ceremony, the K4 teams were involved in managing ticketing for the general public via an online platform and on-site access control with some fifty high-performance scanning devices.
The figures are staggering:
– 140,000 visitors (including 61,000 schoolchildren)
– including 1 peak attendance of over 50,000 in a single day
– 80 checkpoints
To support all this, 10 people from the K4 teams were on hand for 10 days to provide technical support for the solutions deployed, as well as providing information and assistance to visitors during their visit.
‘K4 was able to offer a turnkey solution to the organiser’.
The solutions developed for B2B events (such as conferences) are clearly adapted and validated, and contributed to the success of this global event.

3/ What’s new?
Not really anything new, but a solution that’s making a name for itself!
K4community: ‘your digital knowledge hub’.
If you have a huge amount of content that has been created and stored over the years (and this was even more the case during the pandemic), and you no longer know how to manage and store it….? then K4community could be the right solution for you!
This solution lets you easily create a customised library of multimedia content (videos, PDFs, podcasts, images, etc.) that you can make available to your communities.
Free access or paid access, you decide what business model to apply!
You can also produce and broadcast live your own virtual events (broadcasts, webinars, etc) directly from the platform and get your communities to react (Q&A, comments, like, share, vote, etc).
Event templates allow you to manage the entire event lifecycle, from teasing to storing the live recording in the media library.
And there’s no need for YouTube-style advertising to interfere with the broadcast!
Don’t hesitate, your media content is just waiting for its K4community platform!
4/ Tell us about your development strategy ?
Our development strategy ? Quite simply, to continue to focus on human relations in our field, and to tailor our solutions and services to our customers’ needs.
We don’t know any other way! It’s what sets K4 apart from the rest.
Over the past 20 years, we’ve built our success and reputation on these 2 fundamental principles, which are the keystones of our services.
In this way, we continue to uphold the approach of our founder, Bruno Ricciardi, which is that technology should adapt to the needs, processes and working methods of our organising customers, and not the other way round.
The new myKEY4 portal (deployed since April 2024) is totally in line with this strategy and gives our customers cross-disciplinary visibility of the consumption of key4events products and services.
Just one click and you’re in touch with our customer support service or your dedicated project manager, who will be monitoring your event.
Proximity is and will continue to be essential in the preparation and delivery of your events.
We are applying this model to international developments with local partners (Germany, Canada) who have the same fibre or the same DNA in this service business.
The idea is not to increase our turnover by a factor of 10, but to operate our services to meet the needs of our customers in an equitable relationship and a more sustainable environment, which is not an easy thing to do in the events business.
